Mr. Bear on his Throne

My dear sweet kitty became sick and we finally had to give up and have him
put to sleep on Monday June 6, 2005.  ( He was almost 17 years old. )
We loved our little kitty, he was such a special, special little guy.
If the Lord will allow me into heaven at my
time of death, I hope to see my little fellow again.

This was our kitty  " Mr. Bear "  or  We call him  " Bear "  most of the time,
and he is very much a BIG part of our family.

He and I were thicker than thieves, as the expression goes, I loved my Kitty.

He was born on October 1, 1988, so he had, had a birthday on last
October 1, 2004 and he was 16 years old.

He was very playful, and such a sweet kitty.

Some comments to the people that are cat lovers, I never cease to be amazed
at how really smart cats are, and they are such clean animals.  ((He was a house
cat only, we did not let him outside.  We thought he would be much healthier, and live longer
by not letting him outside)).

We also just did not have any problems with " Bear "
making messes anywhere in our home.

One last thought, He really did have very tender feelings.  You could tell that, by
what he did when something was about to happen.  (example)  He would get upset
when he would see us getting ready to go somewhere, he would start running from here
to there and scratching his post, and he would stop purring.

But, when we would come home he would want to be picked up, loved and petted,
then he was just fine from then on.
AND
He would start purring BIG time.
<smile>

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT MAKES CATS PURR?

In addition to being a sign of contentment, it is a signal, a homing call
that cats learn early. At first, they feel only the vibrations of a purr
when their mother cat uses it to bring them to feed.

Later, cats learn to use it to indicate fear and distress as well as pleasure.

I'm not a professional picture taker but these two pictures, first one is of my wife Bonnie
and second one of myself taken December 16, 2000.  The lamp shades you can see in Bonnie's picture,
she created it totally from the wire frame to the finished lamp shades.
